Schedule Addresses Clara Post Cards Additional Pics Holiday letter 2003
Hi Everyone! If you got here, hopefully you are a relative or close friend that has been given this page address. Since everyone has trouble keeping track of me, I decided to publish a page with the good information in it. I am still with Ragtime, but I will be jumping ship in December and starting a new show, Aida in February.
Hello and Happy New Year!!! Its official. Jen and I exchanged promise rings for Christmas! See you all real soon!
Started in the shop on Aida today. I am in New York for the next three weeks. Jen and I have set up an apartment in Minneapolis. It is four blocks from the theaters.
There have been some long, busy weeks gone past. We have completed much of the load-in and production process for AIDA. Everyone is looking forward to touring as opposed to starting the tour!
Jen and I have almost settled into the apartment in Minneapolis. We are looking forward to a few free hours when we will be able to clean the place up!
A group
of us from AIDA went to a St. Louis Cardinals game.
Whew! I have been having a devil of a time in the last few months getting things published on the site. For those of you who have not been yet, please visit www.thejenericwedding.com. We also hope you can attend the wedding in October.
I am currently in Seattle and looking forward to moving on to Portland, Denver, Salt Lake City and San Francisco. I am hoping to see Nan and Scott while in San Francisco.
I am finally back in business! Updating the site has been a chore since
I upgraded to
Windows 2000. I have been doing a lot of searching lately. Due to an
urge to connect with the past or a mid-life crisis or something, I have looked
for and found many old friends and acquaintances. I am hoping that I will be
able to keep contact with my friends and they will keep in contact with
me. Aida is in Salt Lake for now and I am looking forward to San
Francisco. At the immediate time I am on a plane to Minneapolis where Jen
and I will meet with Kathy Michaels our minister for the wedding. We hope
to finalize many issues and get on track with what needs to happen.
Speaking of planes, are they making these things smaller? When the girl in
front of me leaned back I thought she would bust my knees!
It has been a horrible couple of weeks. The terrorist attack a week this last Tuesday put a big damper on most people's lives in the US. Our hearts are heavy, but we are still looking forward to the wedding next month and, of course, the baby this Winter! When I am home in October I hope to download the sonogram pictures for anyone interested. Take care! God bless and God bless America!
Jen and I got married on October 6th! We had the best time with all our family around and so many friends! There were many people that could not make it and I hope we will see you all soon - on the road. Jen and I are expecting in February. I will be taking six weeks off and then Jen and the baby will join me out here!! We are all excited! Look for pictures on the wedding to be posted here next month!

I am still in LA while the love of my life is still in Minneapolis. We started birthing classes last week. I fly home on the Sunday night Red-eye and go to class with Jen on Monday night. Then I fly off again to LA at Noon on Tuesday. I have written a little excerpt I hope you will read at "mpls." It is a little more about how Jen and I met. I will also be adding pictures to the "wedding" page.
Happy New Year!! Clara was born on January 21st! This is the most exciting thing that has happened! Sadly, Uncle Herman died at the end of this month. Please feel free to look at the pictures of Clara on the Clara page.
This was a wonderful month! I had the entire time off to spend with my new family. Jen and I both had paternity leave, so we spent the entire month concentrating on Clara. At the end of the month we made a trip south to Gainesville and back. We will be in the Northeast at the end of March through the beginning of July, so we should catch all you folks there too.
Jen and Clara came out on the road on March 11th. Whew! It is different with them here. Less phone calls and more hugs. That is the best part. We started off in Cleveland, went to Boston and now we are here in Providence (April). I have updated the schedule and the addresses. We visited with Aunt Ruth, Aunt Dee and Uncle Dave and of course, my Mom. It has been a great month. My friend from Elementary school, Dean Karlan, lived in Cambridge and we were able to meet him and his family while we were in Boston, it was terrific.
April was a little dreary. We were in Providence and are now in Rochester. Rochester is the home of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglas - cool! Anyhow, I hope you are all well. We are getting along well and look forward to seeing everyone as we pass through.
Pretty much the entire month was spent in Detroit. I miss Joelle and Mark being here, but I am happy they are doing well in London. We were able to get a real apartment in Detroit and that is a nice change. We have been eagerly awaiting the answer from Minneapolis on wether or not I am hired as Operations Coordinator of the new theater there. We are hoping and praying.
On a sad note a co-worker was run down in what police say is likely a gang-initiation event. Yuck. He is out of the hospital and leaves today for a 2-6 month recovery time.
Lastly, I am adding some pictures to the archives, so check them out!
Still here. I am in Minneapolis now. Jen, Clara and I are having some time together that we are really enjoying. We went to North Dakota earlier to spend time with Jen's parents for their 30th anniversary. I am looking for work that does not require constant travel.
I went to the USITT conference last weekend. It was great! I met with so many folks that I worked with over the years. I should go every year! I hope everyone is doing well.

Update. I am looking at three positions right now. My favorite is the most ambitious, but also relies on my specific experience the most. They are:
North Carolina School of the Arts, Head of Lighting Technology in Winston-Salem
Steppenwolf Regional Theater, Production Manager, Chicago
Rosco, Inc., Product Manager, Stamford, Ct
I am excited about all three possibilities, but pretty rabid about the NCSA position. I hope it works out. I think it would be best for us as a family and for me as a professional as well.
I am off to CT for the interview with Rosco Monday. I am excited to be travelling again. I have not been on a plane since March 5th!

Well, we are all in Winston-Salem. I am the big one, Clara is the small one and Jen is the one behind the camera. I have updated the addresses page to have one address - boy is that weird and our holiday schedule is on the schedule page. Here are a couple more pictures for you to see.
